This summer has been great so far, but busy! I work at my internship Monday through Friday, and I work at my second job a few times a week as well. I love every minute of it, and this has been the most rewarding summer, don't get me wrong. But, I'm just a little worn out!
With all those hours poured into work, when I have time off, I'm pretty exhausted and just want to sprawl out on the couch and watch a Sex and the City marathon. For the most part, I force myself to get out there and enjoy the summer despite being tired. (Although I do admit to falling asleep by 9:30. Oops!)
So as the halfway mark of summer came and went quickly, I wanted to reflect back on what I've done and configure a "to-do" list for the rest of the summer.
I meant to write this post weeks ago, but like usual, I got busy and put it off. But with approximately 32 days before classes start up again, I'm confident I can get it done!
Alright, let's see what I've done thus far:
>I learned how to water ski!
>I've spent countless afternoons soaking up rays and damaging skin on the "beach" that is Spofford Lake.
>I spent a weekend at Hampton Beach with friends.
>I've been boating on my Dad's boat and my friend's.
>I've camped out. Not real camping, but we were kind of in the woods. It was only for one night, so I guess the only thing that made it "camping" was sleeping in a tent.
Now for the summer bucket list:
>Learn how to wake board! Now that I've learned how to water ski, I want to do this too.
>Go tubing. It's my favorite, and I can't believe I haven't even been once this year.
>Go camping. Like real camping. For a whole weekend. (But definitely a campground with bathrooms... and showers. Does that still count?)
>Go to a country concert. What feels more like summer than lawn seats at a country concert??
>Go to a Red Sox game. I've never been to one. Crazy, I know.
>Visit my roommate from UNH down in Virginia. This one's a stretch, but I want to so badly.
>Take a quick road trip to Maine for a beach weekend. I went up to York for the day, but it doesn't feel like summer without spending at least a weekend there.
>Climb Mount Monadnock. I've lived in Keene for over two year, it's about time I get to this one.
>Go to a flea market/garage sale. I haven't been yard saling in god knows how long.
>Go to the drive-in movie theaters.
>I need to make it down to CT before the summer is over. I lived there for 9 years, so I have a bunch of family and friends I need to visit. It's just been too long since I've seen them. Plus, my favorite beach, Watch Hill is right around that area. Not to mention, Mystic Pizza. Yummm.
So much to do so little time!
What are you doing with your summer?
